Trapol8 is looking for its first dedicated salesperson — someone who thrives on building something from nothing. We're a funded company with foundational, paying customers already in place, and now we're ready to accelerate. Trapol8 automates due diligence questionnaire (DDQ) and investor question responses for buy-side funds. Our product helps investor relations teams eliminate one of the most time-consuming, repetitive parts of their workflow — so they can focus on the relationships that matter. This is a ground-floor opportunity to own the entire sales function and turn early traction into repeatable growth. You won't be inheriting a pipeline; you'll be creating one. What You'll Do

As our founding sales hire, you'll be responsible for the full sales cycle from first touch to closed deal. That means building targeted lead lists of investor relations professionals at hedge funds, asset managers, and private equity firms, generating and qualifying leads through outreach, nurturing relationships over time, and ultimately closing new business. You know how to get in front of IR teams and speak their language. You'll also serve as a critical bridge between our customers and our product team — listening carefully to what prospects and clients need and translating that feedback into actionable insights that shape our roadmap.

What We're Looking For

We want someone with proven experience selling software into the financial services industry, specifically to buy-side firms. Experience selling into investor relations departments is a strong plus. You understand how these organizations evaluate and purchase technology, and you're comfortable navigating their decision-making processes. Beyond industry knowledge, you bring a genuine passion for the craft of selling. You're energized by prospecting, disciplined in your follow-through, and obsessive about the details — because in this world, a missed follow-up or a sloppy email can cost you the deal. You're a natural problem-solver who listens more than you talk, and you take pride in understanding a customer's pain before pitching a solution. This is a role for someone who wants ownership. You'll define our sales playbook, refine our messaging, and help us figure out what scales. If you need a large team around you to be effective, this probably isn't the right fit. If you love the autonomy and impact that comes with being first, it absolutely is.

Location

Trapol8 is headquartered in Dallas and is a fully remote company. We have a strong preference for candidates based in the New York City metro area given the concentration of our target market. Candidates in the Dallas–Houston area are also a great fit.
