Trapol8 is an AI-native knowledge sharing platform for due diligence questionnaires. IR teams at asset managers spend days, sometimes weeks, manually answering the same questions across dozens of investor questionnaires, so we automate the drafting, routing, and approval of those responses. We now build the other side of that exchange too: the allocators and investment consultants asking the questions use Trapol8 to create, distribute, and analyze their DDQs.

We're a small, tight-knit team founded in 2023 by Bob Gates, who previously built and sold Landdox (acquired by Quorum, backed by Thoma Bravo and Francisco Partners). We have real customers, real momentum, and a hard problem worth solving.

The Role

What you'll be doing.

We're looking for a senior engineer with 10+ years of experience to join us fully remote and help build the next generation of our AI-powered DDQ platform. You'll work across the full stack: backend services, frontend interfaces, and the AI layer that ties it all together.

This is an early-stage role with high ownership. You'll collaborate directly with clients and the rest of the team to design and ship features that matter. When something ships, you'll see it in production immediately.

• Collaborate with clients and team members to design and develop new platform features
• Contribute across the full technology stack: backend services and frontend interfaces
• Build and refine the AI systems that power automated DDQ response drafting
• Help shape the architecture as the product and team scale

Requirements

What we're looking for.

You're a strong generalist who can move across the stack, works well in a distributed team, and doesn't need hand-holding to ship. You've worked with LLMs in production and know the difference between a good prompt and a brittle one.

• 10+ years of software engineering experience
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL, Elixir, GraphQL, Phoenix Framework, React, and Redux
• OCR technology experience, Amazon Textract preferred
• Production experience integrating LLMs (ChatGPT, Claude, or similar)
• Prompt engineering and LLM optimization knowledge
• Strong AWS and cloud infrastructure expertise
• Strong written communication and ability to work independently in a remote environment
